GeoVera Specialty Insurance Company wants to be the homeowner insurer of choice for your catastrophe exposed property. As such, GeoVera Specialty is focusing its strength, resources and capacity on providing an AM Best,  A-“Excellent” rated solution for catastrophe exposed homeowners business.

Due to the wide availability of admitted markets in NON-catastrophe exposed locations, effective January 15, 2010 for new business and March 1, 2010 for renewals, eligible locations will change in AL, GA, NC, SC & VA.  GeoVera Specialty will cease writing new & renewal business in the gray areas on the maps below which are not designated as catastrophe exposed.

GeoVera Specialty will continue to provide the same outstanding market for catastrophe exposed business in the teal areas of the map below.

New Business: Properties located in the ineligible zip codes must be quoted and bound by 11:59 PM PST on January 14, 2010. All existing quotes for properties located in the gray areas will expire and become ineligible for the GeoVera Specialty program effective January 15, 2010, 12:00 AM PST. For your convenience, the ineligible applications will be available for printing and review.   All properties bound will process in the same manner to which you are accustomed.  

After January 15, 2010, 12:00 AM, the RHQ Quoter will error after the first page if the property you are quoting is not in an eligible zip code.

Renewals: Policies for property located in the ineligible zip codes will be non-renewed beginning March 1, 2010. Your agency’s list of impacted policies will be sent under separate cover.
